No audio w/capture video, only humming sound

I have a AIW 128 16MB AGP card. I'm using an onboard sound with the card. My mobo is Asus K7M. Whenever I watch TV using my AIW, the only sound coming form the AIW is a humming sound. The sound comes out fine from my on board sound output phono jack, but when I loop it back to my AIW CD-IN and output the sound from my AIW there is only a hum. This also affects my captured movies. Any idea why??TIA
