"No ATI graphics driver is installed"

I removed my 6.1's and booted safe mode driver cleaner etc etc the usual and install 6.2's and i got this message, so i uninstall those and try to go back to my 6.1's and same message, so i tried to system restore and whenever i right click the desktop it tries to install the CCC ?_? no matter what i do i cant install a freaking driver, does anyone know how to fix it?

Is the CCC installed? If so..try uninstalling that first....if not....remove some of those icons'.....

Not sure what you did but it may have something to do with Driver Cleaner. I used it a while back and it wiped out my sound. I couldn't get any sound from .mp3, .wma. & .avi's. I'm not touching Driver Cleaner again.

1:Be sure the power connector to the card is plugged in right.
(unplug and replug it to be sure)

2:Click START / RUN and type chkdsk /f in the box and hit enter.

3: When the dos box pops up, say yes and reboot and let windows run a chkdsk.

Dont ask me why, but when i was testing all the cat drivers i could find when i first got my card, i saw that box a couple of times and a chkdsk always fixed it.

So i would "assume" that the files get corrupted somehow when installing/uninstalling.

At least give it a shot, i wont hurt anything.

4: Tell me where to get that wallpaper!

heh thanks for the help, I ended up having to install it from within the ATI folder that it installed lol as the setup.exe in the driver folder.
