Go to your neighborhood nerd or to your local computer shop and get one, please!

ALWAYS ship in an antistatic bag. Get one from a friend, go out and buy one, something.

Also, always make sure you have everything you need to ship something before advertising it ;)

Simple. Wrap the MB in alunimum foil. However you might want to remove the onboard battery just in case.

premiumG, that could work.. I don't see why it wouldn't. It would look a bit "ghetto", but its fine. The only scary problem in shipping without anti-static bags is the possible chance that it will get shocked by external forces.

Personally I'll just do what you said. Rip up the smaller ones and tape them. It's fine.

If you got any of your computer equipment in aluminum foil, would you accept it?
An anti-static bag is not that difficult to get. Call your local computer shop, they have loads of a/s bags.

You risk that some external force will fry the board. So use anti-static bags.

If you don't use the anti-static bags, at least put it in the original motherboardd box.

Then you can use your newspapers...

I've had the same problem a couple of times after selling VCs on ebay. The last card I sold (evga 6800nu) I finally figured out didn't come with an antistatic bag but was protected by a molded plastic casing. I wonder if a simple freezer bag would work. I mean, is there really anything about an 'anti-static' plastic bag that makes it anti-static?

Yes, there is something special about an anti static bag.
Not every material can have the same qualities.
For example, Scotch tape, which the OP may have used to tape the smaller bags together, can generate lots of ESD when touched!

Don't be lazy, just get an antistatic bag for crying out loud.... Think about how you would like your item to come in if you bought somethign online.

Hi Had and All, Antistatic bags are slightly electrically conductive. DO NOT use a freezer bag. It will provide no protection at all. Jim

From what i have read, anti-static bags are made so that the outside of the bag takes the charges and protects the inside by discharging it. So if you tape them together.. the outside of the bag may be inside iwth the motherboard and in the end, DLeRium will get a dead motherboard. Everytime i use anti-static bags to temporarily hold hardware, i always turn it inside out.

I may be wrong..

I bought a RAID card on eBay and the seller shipped it in a KMart plastic bag. At least the card worked...
