No Ambition

I have no ambitions in life or in college. I get A's, and I'll get a job when I graduate I guess, but I don't aspire to anything. And I don't feel especially bothered by that. Thoughts?

I get As because I read the book and do what I'm told. I go to college because I feel an obligation to maintain at least a semblance of success. I think of ambition as an especially pronounced desire to go above and beyond.

i went through all the motions and eventually got a Ph.D. not because the work was exhilarating or interesting, but because it was easy. in all honesty, if I won the lottery I'd quit my job in a second.

Not that strange, I feel the same way 99% of the time. I have chosen a path, because I felt like I absolutely was forced to, but without external motivation it's not a path I would pick. In fact, without external motivation I wouldn't do a damn thing.

I did that the first round of college. I should be going back by the fall for an engineering degree. Well, the start of one, as I'm still a little unsure on the specific concentration. I guess it's yay for going back to college at 26.

read (other than school books), exercise, get involved in extra curricular activities, meet people! you sound sorta depressed like maybe all you do is eat, sleep, go to the bathroom and your schoolwork. get out there and do other things. give yourself something to forward to, and that will help your ambition in life.
