no AGP for 7800GTX?

however, ATI will release their next graphics in AGP and PCI-E.

so i guess those waiting for one of the 7800s to come out on AGP will have to wait further.

They lie.

As soon as ATi actually releases their AGP cards (i just hope it's sometime before Xmas 🙁), nVidia will magically be able to produce AGP varients.
I could be wrong, but i'm guessing i won't be.

The Inquirer isn't exactly what most would call a reliable news source. It's more like a glorified rumor site.

I like that rumor site because they "predicted" the release of the 7800 before it happened. But, they even laugh at themselves. I mean, they posted links to older articles saying how many pipes etc the video card would have then announced they were wrong.

So, yeah, it's speculation, gossip, whatever. I agree someone shouldn't post the word "confirmed" when linking to theinquirer.net

It's not confirmed. It's gossip. As a matter of fact, Nvidia could be using places like theinquirer to test out how certain ideas are received by the public. They can always claim later "it was just a rumor on theinquirer" and change their plans.

Yep, you hit the nail on the head there. Don't get me wrong. I love reading the Inquirer. I just take it for what it is. 🙂
