No active desktop in XP 64?

The tab is GONE!

MIS says there is no policy on my account forbidding the additon of items which is believable as 32 bit windows works. Booting up on an X64 image and the tab is gone!

I can't find anything related to active desktop under the Display Properties on my stand-alone XP x64 system here (don't take that as authoritative or final because I never used active desktop on XP Pro, so I can't remember exactly where it should be). My guess is that they took it out because so few people use it - which sucks for the few times when it would be incredibly useful for something.

Hmmm perhaps it was one of those abolished features.

Looks like I'll have to make an html page now. 🙁

One can only hope. It had to be, one of the worst features of all time. Good in theory, but piss poor in practice. The only thing i would miss, is the customers i have that use it, and get the computer cooties.
