No access to network in xp home

Hi,

I've tried just about everything to help my dad get two of his three new identical computers to access his network but to no avail. He's running XP home wireless through a dlink adaptor to a dlink router on all three. The computers can see the internet but cannot access other computers on the network. When I try to veiw network computers it gives an error message saying he doesn't have permission to access network resorces. please contact network admin...

Things I've tried:

- running the network setup wizard with standard settings i.e. the proper work group

- disabling firewall on his wireless adaptor

- sharing a folder

- creating a new user with admin privliges and a new password

- resetting the tcp\ip stack via the " netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt " command

- uninstalling network adaptor then reinstalling

- system restore

I've tried averything i know and still can't see the network... Any ideas would be a blessing. Thanks

Nick
