Hi

I just picked up an ASUS P4R800-V Deluxe motherboard, and installed an ATI 9600XT video card. When I got to the Display Properties and look at the Smartgart Tab under the advanced settings, it says that the AGP SPEED is off, I have tried setting it too 8x but everytime it reboots it goes back to off.

No were in the bios can I set the agp settings.

I've updated the bios to the latest, and I have downloaded the newest catalyst drivers from ATI.

I'm not sure what else to do, I know the video card works because I had it in another computer and it worked find.

Any ideas, I'm wondering if the mb is defective.

You need to install/reinstall your motherboard chipset drivers. These are the ATI chipset drivers part one and 2. Not the video drivers, but the mobo drivers. You can get to them through the link you provided.

OMG.... Thanks LTC8K6... I can't believe I totaly forgot about the chipset drivers....
