No 3d acceleration with GA7DX-R

I have a :

Athlon Thunderbird 1400 Mhz
Gigabyte GA7DX-R
256 MB DDR
Radeon 32 MB SDR video card

I can't get ANY 3d game to work. The monitor goes black, and I hear the sound, but otherwise the program does not function. I can exit or switch programs, but I get 0 3d acceleration in winME.

I know someone on the Ars-Technica board with the exact same problem.

I've installed the AMD AGP miniport driver with no effect.

Any ideas?

I think it's an IRQ related problem.. Have you tried juggling your PCI cards around a bit? I think the 2nd and 5th PCI slots have their own unshared IRQ's.
