I have an unlocked Athlon XP 1900 that I want to overclock. It is a standard 12x multiplier, and the next settig on the Abit KR7A is 13x. That is too big of a jump for me for not having o'ced it yet. Can I get the 12.5x setting through a BIOS update? Also, the only setting after 13x is called "over 13x." What does that mean? Is it 13.5x, 14x, or do I choose somewhere else? Thanks

yup the L10

because 13x is actally the same setting as 5x(14x = 6x, etc)

so changing the L10 either gives you 5-12.5x or 13-20.5x

HELP!! I went to flash my BIOS and when it asked if I would like to save my current BIOS I chose yes and typed in a file name. It now says Please Wait and has been doing nothing for 20min. The floppy light is on and I think the disk may be full. What do I do? Do I take the disk out and put in a new one? Please someone help me.

Well it was completely frozen so I just hit the reset button. I figured that since the program froze while saving the current BIOS that it hadnt been erased yet. I was correct, and it booted up fine. The whole problem was because of my stupidity. I had tried to flash the BIOS with the .exe file that I downloaded, instead of extracting it in Windows and using the contents to flash it. (I was wondering why the file was a .exe instead of a .bin like last time) Oh well, everything worked out ok, so learn from my mistake.

The 6n 2.31 Bios and the Hotpoint 2.31 drivers can be found hereHere
Under Pauls KR7A downloads
The new bios goes to 12.5/13 and over x13

I have the 1900 xp also
I have mine unlocked and run it at 11x times 156 FSB
I can choose the 12.5/13 also and over x13
You'll need the Award flash
Runme file or Abitfae coppied to a system disk along with the 6N_2.31 bios
Just rboot with the system disk and run awdflash and type Kr7a _ 6N.bin to flash
Be sure to extract the K7N.2.31 before copying it to disk
