Since the RIAA / MPAA /etc.. etc.. lost their court case I have a feeling usenet privacy is next since "software" can't commit piracy why not go after servers that hold it and the information that is transmitted from it.

I have used HTTP proxies before and wondering if NNTP is just as easy to use? and if so where to find them?
