I'm withdrawing my suggestion. If someone else wants to take the initiative, please feel free to.

Brilliant idea Jay. I'd love to see that happen. I was secretly wondering why this hasn't been done yet. If we could get this done it might even make the DC link on the front page possible.

Dnet was supposedly working on a unified stats system. I don't know what ever happened to that, though.

Engine,

I'm thinking Unified as in OGR/RC5/Seti/Gamma/Future Projects. This would mean we would have to design our own stats box, not one based off of Mika's proxy, but something that pulls all stats from the projects listed above. Again, way past my ability, but I think there are some here who might be able to do it.

It would be a challenge to do it. I like the idea, but it is also beyond my capabilities also. I'm not a programmer.

It would also be something to bring all our TA-members together.
We can try and work things out.
Starting with a brainstorm session. Let us use this thread for it.

It would be great to see how strong we are in comparison to other teams, that work on different projects.
Maybe we can form an alliance with another friendly team, that also wants to try something similar.
If not, I'm convinced we've enough expert members here to do it on our own.

The idea of adding some more features to The Core to make it more diverse sounded really interesting. Presently, The Core is doing proxy work for OGR and RC5, and WebBox is linking to some of our best SETI pages. Maybe there are some more SETI goodies that could be onboard the WebBox/Core, hopefully the SETI movers and shakers will speak up if there is something we could be hosting. As for GammaFlux, I hear that the GF pProxy software sometimes conflicts with the Dnet pProxy, but on-site GF stats at the Core would be slick if it works out. GF guys, any comments? Charrison?

Mech,

You might be correct, I might have gotten to tighly integrated into this. It may be time I re-evaluate where I direct my energies. Thanks.

Jay
