I wouldn't buy that POS for 15,100. That thing better get like 200 miles a gallon. Scooter or bike + cheap used car or pickup truck > Yaris, Fit, or similar matchbox cars.

The base on a Yaris is 13,300 plus destination and thats just a little hatch with no power options at all. I have no idea where you guys assume its 10k OTD. A little research online would of showed you that full upgraded the Yaris sedan jumps from 13,300 to 15,100 or so approximately.

I was looking at base price, which is around 10k. I'm not a big "option" guy, I don't mind rolling up the window or having to lock each door all by itself. One of the options I got on my last truck was the "work truck groupe", you get black bumpers and rubber floor mats and they knock $1200 of the price.

Cheap I am.

I am not sure if I am even going to touch this one. Ok fine. Yaris comes in A) hatchback and B) a Sedan.

I chose option B. Get it ?

Not true, they have sedan and hatch.

How come you didn't go for a Fit or Versa?

Yaris has the best gas mileage out of the bunch. And I even read the Motor Trend article comparing the three. I am happy with my choice.

Bad choice. The Corolla has roughly the same gas mileage, but for the price of a fully loaded Yaris its only comparable to the price of a base model corolla which has NO power options. Unacceptable in my book.

I don't think you guys know what you are talking about anyway. The Yaris came in second behind the Versa, and the Fit came in last in their speed tests. Not that this is a race car, but it had the 2nd best acceleration and speed as well as having the best gas mileage. Beating out both the Versa and Fit.

That's like saying, "this is the best smelling turd!" That car is a waste of space on the road.

You failed in your attempt at humor. What are you just mad someone is getting a new car and its not you?

I understand what you're trying to say. In cars where acceleration and speed are not (or should not be?) one of the primary factors for purchasing, comparing acceleration is moot.

Am I on the right track?

OMG!!!! It was a comparison of 3 vehicles that have all been mentioned in this thread and I was merely stating the Yaris was the best choice out of the three. I never said I was taking it down to run the 1/4 mile against Corvettes.

I never said you did say that...or rather, KMurphy never said you did...

I was just paraphrasing for my own purposes..
