Simply put:
Will it work? No.
Will it fry the printer? Probably not fry, but there might be smoke and burning involved.
Would you be able to even plug a USB cord into a molex connector at all? Not likely.

Thus, I don't see him burning down his house due to printer flames unless he somehow finds a way to jam it in there....
