NM: Help! Boot screen says my speed is 1800+, but I bought a 2400+

I just installed my 2400+ retail cpu on to a brand new Shuttle AN25N400 motherboard. When I start, the boot screen says that the speed is at 1800+, so, what's going on?

I did the wire unlocking trick, because I wasn't sure if I needed to unlock it or not, and I figured that I might as well unlock before installing the CPU. Don't know if that has anything to do with it.

I'm such an idiot, the multiplier and FSB speed was set incorrectly. I manually set them to the correct speeds and the correct speed was displayed on post.

atleast he figured it out, i had a friend that left his pc running at the lower fsb for months not noticing🙂
