The cable modem is plugged into my computer running win2k, and I have another nic and cable running to a winME machine. The cable is good, we're connected, and I have ICS enabled on my cable, and on my other nic the ip is 192.168.0.1/2 and gateway is 255.255.255.0 on both my computer and the winME machine, but I'm still not getting any internet connection on the winME machine. How could I fix that?

thanks

that's the wrong gateway

gateway should be the ip address of the 2k nic that connects to the me nic

I don't understand what you mean

I meant the subnet is 255.255.255.0 , the gateway and dns are blank.

Here are my settings

My computer / WinME Computer

ip 1.1.1.1 / 1.1.1.2
subnet 255.255.255.0/255.255.255.0
gateway none/none
dns none/none

i'm not sure what setting to put in there

thanks
