nLite - Removing components from WinXP CD

With nLite, you can remove a whole bunch of unused components from the WinXP install CD. How much of it actually gets copied over from the CD to the C: drive? Like the drivers...if you remove a bunch of the drivers, are you just reducing the CD image size? Or would all those driver files actually get copied to the C: drive?

If you remove the drivers from the CD, where is it going to get them to copy to your C drive? I was able to get an 80mb version of XP for my carputer.
