My brother got a Nixeus VUE24 and a XFX 390 for Christmas.
That monitor is really very nice for the price. It is yet another piece of proof that not all panels are made alike. It uses a TN panel, but has the same viewing angles as my IPS ones. You can look at it nearly completely sideways and get 0 wash out. FreeSync is really quite amazing to see in person. 30-144hz on this monitor. You don't realize how many little stutters most games have, even when ostensibly capped at 60 FPS w/ Vsync on, until you've seen the adaptive sync version. Fallout 4 on his computer is miles smoother than my previous build (he's using an i5-2400 with DDR3-1600 vs my old 2500k at 4.5 w/ ddr3-1600 using a 290). And 144hz is just fantastic looking altogether, even things like Hearthstone are a lot better looking at that refresh rate. The stand on it is very capable as well.
The gamma is definitely off out of the box as the reviews have said. You have to do a little calibrating to tame it back down.
Overall, it's a fantastic gaming monitor.
