This looks like a domestically available Catleap Multi. Probably with a viable warranty and better stand.

It is the Panel and warranty that matters here.. Also this companys level of customer service.

It also says A Panel not A- so it may have a better CC then the Korean panels and less chances for dead stuck pix etc.

I think I got lucky with my Catleap, but given the option I'd have opted for this and got the better warranty. The only downside is a basic catleap with a single DVI port has less input lag than multiport versions. Still, Display Port support is nice.

That sucks that they can't even offer A+ panels.

This is because the A+ panels go to Apple or Dell who pay big money to LG for these.

Thing is, I've heard that if a panel gets rejected the whole batch is rejected so you may have a very good one in there.

very cool. Glad to see these panels drifting over here. Only bummer is, if it is a multi catleap, the input lag would be frustrating to me.

That is true... different manufacturers/OEM have different guidelines for accept and reject based off statistical samples - but usually they are very accurate.

Perhaps...I got a catleap and after messing with it I have one "dark dot" on the right center of the screen. From my viewing position I cannot see it and it only really appears when I look for it on a solid color background. When browsing the web or watching videos I cannot tell it's there.

Pretty good for under $400 IMO.

It looks really cheap.

Given they have to use a thick bezel (plastic molding is cheaper than thin bezels) to bring the costs down.

You are one of the lucky ones... I used to be lucky, till I lost the silicon lottery and my Turtle Beach is crapping out on me for the third time.

If these things do 120hz I'll probably buy four :p

I think these are at 60Hz...

Regarding pixel policy, if the monitor has more than 3 bright pixels, more than 3 stuck pixels, or more than 5 dark pixels that may occur during the 1 year warranty - we will issue warranty service or RMA service.

That sucks that they can't even offer A+ panels.

The A Grade was designated specifically to the LG IPS Panel batch used to manufacture the NX-VUE27. However, there are a majority of A+ panels in the batch, but we have to specify that they are A grade and adhere to ISO standards for Class 1 LCD panels even if the NX-VUE27 may have Class 0 LG IPS panels installed.

Preimum brands such as Apple and Dell have purchased most of the available A+ Grade designated panel batches, which makes it difficult to obtain. However, A+ Graded LG Panels batches would require us to charge a 30% or more premium for the NX-VUE27.

If these things do 120hz I'll probably buy four :p

Overclocking the NX-VUE27 will void the warranty.

So the benefits of this over a catleap are warranty, no power adapter/converter needed?, and additional input connections? I think for the catleaps you can pay the same price and get one guaranteed to have no dead pixels at least in the beginning.

Why what harm does it cause to the panel?

Your panels are 100$ more then the ones on Ebay... what makes it worth 100$ more?

Thank-you for your questions and comments.

1) The control board does not support overclocking and may cause damage to the PCB or IPS panel.

2) We are using A Grade panels. A Grade designated LG IPS batches costs more than A- Grade designated LG IPS batches. USA Retailers and our clients want to minimize RMA/Warranty service and refused to accept A- Grade panels for LCD Products due to the fact they only accept at minimum Class 1 LCD products. A- Grade panels would increase RMA/Warranty due to the high demands of USA consumers.

3) FCC certification. The Nixeus Vue is certified by the FCC which allows for the sale and distribution in the USA Retail Market.

4) Custom Stand. During product development we decided to include a stand that allows for the NX-VUE27 to pivot, height adjustable, and swivel left/right.

5) Other factors contribute to the cost.

If we decide to use A- Grade LG IPS Panels, NOT include the custom stand, and NOT require FCC certification then the NX-VUE27 would be priced in line with the other Korean brands sold on Ebay.

Any thoughts on using a control board that can go to 85hz +?

Thank-you for your question.

We are currently looking into it. We have to make sure whatever specifications we list and market that the monitor will deliver (To Adhere to Federal Trade Commission laws). Also we have to make sure that control board is stable - so we may provide warranty. At this time it is in development, but may or may not be released for USA retail market due to the above statements.

Thats a good buy for sure. Maybe next upgrade cycle I will jump on something with a higher res. Right now I am loving my 1080p Asus and have spent too much recently anyway. It would kind of suck to not get to watch 3D blu-Rays anymore though.

Having a 85hz - 120hz Panel will diff put your name out there.. and alot of hard core people will be lined up for them.

Depending on price i may be one of them.

After looking around, it seems this is very similar to the Auria eq276w. Looks like they have the same connections and warranty length. The stand might be better on this one though. Based on the review it seems the Auria is 10 bit panel vs 8bit for this one assuming Anand's description is accurate.

http://www.overclock.net/t/1288941/...auria-eq276w-27-led-monitor-from-micro-center

This is the review that says the specs say it is a 10bit panel.

Shame the Microcenter near me couldn't renew their lease so I can't see one of these in person. $400 for a 10bit panel and local store pickup could be pretty sweet.

Essentially, for $130 more compared to ebay stuff, you get a likely better/more functional stand, a better panel than the average Catleap and piece of mind via warranty. That's an ok, safe deal yet the pricing is not aggressive enough for significant penetration. Also, native content selection and GPU prices/performance aren't helping either, though the market you want to hit with this product with isn't necessarily aware of that. <$350 is where you need to go with this by Black Friday, sub $300 by Q12013.

I have the multi, and I see/feel NO input lag at all. And I play games that if there were lag I would suck big time playing them.
