I'd take one, but the price will probably be in Tesla Roadster territory.
Except that there's basically been nothing done to help the electrical grid cope or to get more capacity.
We had rolling blackouts here b/c it was cold and a water pipe burst at a power plant. Luckily we are investing heavily in American infrastructure. . . oh wait. . .
This.
And not like the prices of rare earth metals needed for batteries on a mass scale won't drive the price up ridiculously high along with the prices from the utilities monopoly to charge said batteries. You won't even need a (electric) vehicle to enjoy their prices unless you live by candle-light.
do the TRON brake-lights come standard? 😀

Maybe it's a psychological trick to make people stop sucking at driving. How many people text while playing Gran Turismo?Considering that driving the GT-R has been regarded as similar to playing a video game, likely. :sneaky:
350mL of gasoline = 12.18MJ of energyMaybe it's a psychological trick to make people stop sucking at driving. How many people text while playing Gran Turismo?
Anyway, I predict failure. Electric equipment has always been better than internal combustion in every conceivable way until we start to talk about batteries. There's probably more energy in a coffee cup full of gasoline than there is a 40 pound battery. This electric car will have X power, Y cost and Z range, but there's probably a gasoline or diesel vehicle out there with the same power and costs but travels twice as far. If you're a baller and bitches in various cities are begging for you to come visit, you need a sports car with range.
350mL of gasoline = 12.18MJ of energy
40lb Li-ion battery = 18.1kg battery = 13.0MJ of energy
that just shows how much energy is in the gasoline. How much of that energy is lost to heat? ~70%.
Whereas electric motors can be > 90% efficient easily.
I don't know. Do the math.damn that sucks. how many thousands of tons of battery do i need to drive from california to new mexico?
