Nissan Versa computer codes...

The other day and it was very cold, -25C, my versa would nor restart after a stop at the ATM. It turns out there is trouble with the throttle actuator and 2 codes were set, P2101 and P2100. After waiting for an hour or 2 the car started but was showing 'service engine soon" on the dash. What I never knew is there is no mechanical link to the throttle..its by wire! A friend cleared the code with his scanner and so far the problem has not come back. What should I do?

Probably nothing? Extreme cold does weird things to vehicles.

Last Monday it was around -30c here, and when I depressed the clutch in my car to drop in reverse and head to work, it felt like I was pushing the pedal through jello. Ditto with the gear shifter (5MT), and I know Honda uses thin fluids in their hybrids. Much colder, and I might not have been able to put it into gear, despite it being a stupidly simple mechanical linkage.

It could have been low battery voltage causing the codes? P2100 is low voltage to the throttle control motor.

BTW, throttle cables disappeared a long time ago, for the most part.
