The Skyline is like Nissan's Accord so to speak. You can still kind of see this with the G35.

Well.. Not really. Nissan already has regular mid-size 4 door sedans, why exactly would the Skyline be their equivalent to an Accord? The skyline is closer of an equivalent to their NSX, than it is to their Accord.

The Skyline was their family Sedan. The Skyline GT-R was the race/enthusiast car.

and now it is just Nissan GT-R. The Skyline is the Japanese G35.
