Anyone have any recommendations for where to buy Nissan OEM parts at less than MSRP?

I've been blown away by how hard it is to find a decent and non-shady site that sells the stuff I need to do regular scheduled maintenance on the gf's 350Z. For my Hondas, I have at least three reputable sites that offer everything I need, including fluids, grouped together in proper categories. But every Nissan site I find is a design disaster, doesn't have all the right parts, doesn't sell the accompanying tools like filter wrench sockets, and doesn't make it clear which parts go to which version of car (Nissan changed the engines in these cars multiple times as the years went by). Just give me the right fucking filters, the right fucking crush washers for drain and fill bolts, some Nissan MTF, and I'm good.

I also can't find any information on the manual transmission's oil capacity or the diff capacity, or torque figures for drain and fill bolts on those things. The 350Z forums are hardly any help, as they are also design disasters, don't have proper FAQ or DIY libraries, and on 350Zmotoring, I can't even get my account to post properly.

This shit was unbelieveably simple with my S2000 and s2ki.com is a fantastic resource for this stuff that makes it all super easy to find. How can 350Z owners put up with the crap information that is out there for their cars? I feel like I'm wading through a fog.

What parts do you need?

Most I buy are/were made for Nissan from Autozone/advance/etc... I just bought 2 sensors 1 from advance and 1 from autozone and they both had oem nissan symbols on them.

Nissanpartscheap.com and nissan-auto-parts-dealer.com are two I have used extensively. MUCH cheaper than local even with shipping.

Courtesy is not cheap. They do carry the non-stock parts many have a hard time finding elsewhere.

For those I think mynismo.com is cheaper.

Yeah, I've checked them out, but for instance, they don't have A/C filters for a 350Z. This is a pretty basic part, but I can't find it (maybe I'm blind, or maybe this car just doesn't have one?). They sell a ten-pack of oil filters, but they don't say anywhere WHICH oil filters they are. This matters because there were two different filters depending on the model year.

I can't find the crush washers for the transmission on that site, either. I did eventually find the washers for the diff, but only by dissecting the diagram and comparing part numbers. Labeling parts is too complicated?

At some point, I guess I'll just have to pull the plugs for the transmission and pray that Kragen has some crush washers in the same size when I go down there.

Sounds like you are having a problem with not only the 350Z forums but the best of the OEM parts sites. Maybe you should call and have them give you the partnumbers.

The Nissan dudes are usually a pretty handy bunch, if you posted the above there you'd get a "SPOONFED" image sent your way.

I'd avoid Zilvia and Ziptied forums for now.

User Error. maybe you shouldn't be touching cars.
