My neighbor has a Tahoe. He parks it in the street because the rear diff leaks fluid all over his driveway and he doesn't want to get letters/fines from the HOA. He has had it in numerous times but they can't seem to fix it and there is a huge oil slick on the street where he parks it. I'll snap a pic of it next time I'm out there with my phone.

I don't know where he takes it. I just know it has been leaking for years... and he bought it new so he had to be taking it to the dealership at least for a while.

The guy must be an idiot to have a car leaking diff fluid for years. Sorry...try a new mechanic!
 
Finally an option for folks who would like to have a Cummins diesel without the dodge/ram baggage. JDM rollin smoke. Be worth it just to rile up the locals

Nissan could make some serious bank if they could offer a no-frills diesel version for fleet use.
 
Yeah. It's too bad they didn't make most of it out of aluminum. Then it wouldn't rust out.

We are back to wanting the Ford body, Nissan engine and Chevy transmission. Can't we just get it all in one truck! 🙂

I have to wonder if Ford would even consider offering a diesel in a F100-series, or if that would cannibalize their bigger trucks too much. Considering the current 'half-ton' trucks are pretty much bigger and better-built than older '3/4 or full-ton' trucks, it might make sense.

Seriously, modern 'half ton' trucks are huge.
 
My buddy bought the latest Colorado a month ago and it is gigantic. Hard to believe it is considered a mid size.

I had a first Gen Titan and got in an accident. When it was being repaired the insurance company gave me a new f150 rental. Damm it was much harder to park than my titan and that was hard enough in some of the small lots where I live.

Seems every generation gets a hair bigger and more bulky trying to hit all the bed size, storage numbers, etc... so they can say they have more under seat storage then ABC brand in 1/2 ton truck.

I drive a 07 Dakota now. Quad cab and V8 so has all I need and easier to park. The new Colorado's and Canyons look nice but have to wait several years before I look to upgrade.

And yeah, trucks are ridiculously large these days. Too bad nobody makes compact trucks anymore... I guess they just don't sell well enough though or companies would make them.
 
I currently have a titan. Don't care for the new looks that much. I hate the oversized look of the new trucks. The new tundra comes to mind when looking at this.

Diesel is decent choice but I highly doubt they are going to grab the 5% share they are aiming for. The truck starts at 29 which IMHO is too expensive.

I would rather have them get incredible gas mileage and not worry about the performance numbers as much. 10k towing is insane for mid size truck.

I had a titan. It was a decent truck but got horrible mileage and was loud, even with new exhaust manifolds. I sold it and got a tundra and love the tundra. Titans are not bad trucks though. My 2008 tundra can tow 10k as can most any full size 1/2 ton truck, so I don't think 10k towing is insane.

They are huge, but they get to 60 in the mid 5 second range...

Well, you can still get a Tacoma. Problem is, they're just as expensive as a regular 1/2 ton. And half (or less) as useful.
