GT-R! Unfortunately I can't look at it at the moment :(. Is it the new GT-R or one of the older R-32 through R-34 models?

Yeah, I heard around 60k :(. Makes me sad as I'd really like one, but doubt I really want to spend $60k on a car. Although, I should be able to afford it, it's probably not as wise :p.

So far, the guesstimates that I've heard is people're talking about a turbocharged V8 (or was it V6) with ~500HP.

Jay Leno, Barrett Jackson auctions, and millions of others would tend to disagree with you.

If you meant NEW cars, then yes. However, there are exceptions there as well.

sorry but Nissan doesn't have a chance.

The corvette is way too high up there.

Unless Nissan amazes us all and puts out a car that can compete with the new Corvette.. then bravo Nissan.

Please be 500HP

i think it is much too early to say nissan doesn't have a chance. all of the previous generations of the GTR, and even older skyline gts-v's, were really great cars that held their own. nissan certainly has the engineering capacity to do great things. the r32 gtr has been called one of the greatest cars ever made (minus the interior) by people including jeremy clarkson. every generation after the r32 was faster on the track as well. i am confident that the next generation GTR will measure up well with its heritage and will draw more attention in america than you seem to think.

You could get the R34 in 4 doors, but the GTR was only a coupe.

As for thsi new one: meh, I dont like it. Lots of other cars out there that can be had for less that I would MUCH rather have.

....GT-R performance car to be 2008 model

By AUTOMOTIVE NEWS

AutoWeek | Updated: 08/16/06, 8:03 am et

...
GT-R: Much to the chagrin of Infiniti dealers, the upcoming all-wheel-drive GT-R performance car will be badged as a Nissan. The next-generation GT-R is expected to go on sale in the United States as a 2008 model. The sticker price is expected to be about $60,000.

Infiniti dealers desperately wanted the GT-R as a halo for the brand.

Are they going to keep making the 350Z? If so it'll be interesting to see how Nissan does with 2 sports cars on the market.
