Traded the Eclipse Spyder I picked up cheap after swearing off DSMs for this 95 GSXR750W. It needed a clutch and a few other knick knacks
only had it for a week.
Just wasnt comfortable so traded repaired and cleaned up running bike for the 240sx running badly and cash and a bunch of parts my way. Cash paid for all extra parts and machine work so far so that has been a bonus. Car came to me with the 5zigen Fn01Cs that are now on the 300zx.
1993 240sx SE with some issues RB20 straight six 5 Speed Swap picked up on the cheap and went to town. Purchased a new head after finding some oil starvation issues that were not machineable Rebuilt the starter, and have started to piece together the rb20. Its about 80 percent complete. New Tomei 256 cams, MLSHG, Headstuds etc. Water pump and a few things refreshed. Did most of the work over a weekend so didnt document much. Lost much sleep and wife was not happy.
Cant wait to hear it run. Its so close, waiting on some gaskets and injectors. RB20DET ECCS model off a R32 GTR GTS with above parts plus FMIC and piping and new wideband and eventually nistune with 550 injectors and a RB25 turbo. Car Has Megan Track Coilovers, 300zx Brakes with 5 lug swap, and a bunch of other stuff including a Shimmed VLSD. Gonna be the track weapon probably. Going to eventually rebuild bottom end with 88MM pistons and forged bottom end. I did pick up a rb25 thats rebuildable so I will probably go that route since the extra displacement will help though the though of a 2.3L short stroke rb20 bottom end with 11k RPM head would make very fun power and an interesting noise
Car needs an interior bad. I hate it when people strip shit. My solution is always just make moar powar! Keep the AC you fools!
