The new Pathfinder is available in four trim levels, XE, SE, SE Off-Road and LE and in 2-wheel and 4-wheel drive to appeal to a wide range of buyers.

The 2005 Pathfinder features a starting Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $24,650 for the new XE trim 2-wheel drive, which includes aluminum-alloy wheels, Vehicle Dynamic Control and AM/FM/CD audio system as standard equipment. The volume-leading Pathfinder SE adds fog lamps, an 8-way power driver's seat, a segment-exclusive(a) Easy Clean Cargo Area and more. The 2-wheel drive SE starts at an MSRP of $25,850, which is $1,150 less than last year's Pathfinder SE model and significantly less than comparably equipped competitive segment leaders.

I'm kinda confused as to where the Xterra and Pathfinder fit in into the SUV market. Xterra more of the low class model and Pathfinder the higher class? (or I guess, the Xterra appeals more to the 17 year old chick crowd who goes for the Jeep Wrangler, and the Pathfinder to the normal SUV crowd?)

I think that's generally the audience they were aiming for with the XTerra... anyway... i dont even remember the last pathfinder commercial i've seen... if any.

The Xttera also has a 6 speed manual for 2005 so it appeals to those of us that want a truck and still like to do our own shifting.
