Do they still have brake overheating issues? do all models have a lsd?

I don't know, seems like a mustang gt is a better buy at this price point...

But they do look awesome

Sport models come with LSD (Nismo too). Brake over-heating was mostly for non-sports, but can be fixed by getting better pads generally. Sport brakes + good pads are pretty solid, but cooling could be better.

I don't know about the oil overheating issue, I don't think was resolved. You can get an aftermarket oil cooler for pretty cheap from a number of trusted sources like Greddy IIRC.

The price has climbed though. I got my 2009 for just under 33k, and that was touring. The sport (at the time) was only 2.5k more, but I didn't like the auto-rev feature, so I didn't get the sport. Standard brakes are very good, but do fade with extreme use. Definitely NOT appropriate for tracking without some modifications.

From what I understand, the aerodynamics caused poor cooling to the brakes, which in turn caused them to overheat. Proper ducting, better brake fluid and pads would do wonders for overcoming that. I put the same brakes from the sport package on my G35 and never had overheating issues.

0% for 60mo is great though on the 370Z.. Hardly ever see that available for them.

I wonder where the breakeven point is on residual vs principal balance, you will be upside down on that 60mo note most of its life.

Honestly, I think that's the main reason I'd get the sport.

care to explain? with enough of a down payment, and no interest, he can at least break even. If there is no interest, he isn't paying anything more than what he owes on the car right? Assuming he gets approved for a 60mo loan

I think this is a great deal for people considering buying a 370z used.

You could pay 5-7k more for a car that is essentially worth more, 0-30 miles on the odometer and full warranty.

Trouble is, there are not many models left that I want still on dealer lots: Base + Sport package.

2013 models are coming out: new wheels, LED strips, and a few tweaks to the inside. I'm sure they will do something to the suspension too...

Bolt ons gets this car over 300 WHP

Naw. Ruined the feeling of driving it for me. Plus, it was brand-new when I was looking and who knows if the feature was going to be reliable or not. I didn't want to have to turn the stupid thing off every time I drove it. I like regular MT better...

I know a guy who had it fail on him mid-turn at Laguna Seca which in turn caused him to spin off track. Luckily no damage to the car but that must have been scary as shit!

Was he changing gears in the middle of the turn? If so that's a big no-no.
