Nipple Update

Well, I just got back from the doc.
Here's the deal:

She couldn't feel the lump in the left breast anymore, and the nipples have healed wonderfully. I still have a lump in my right breast though, farther away from the nipple
The doc said that it's probably swollen lymph glands caused by a foreign object (rings) in my body. It can happen due to any piercing, or any little trauma to the skin, even weeks or years after getting pierced.
Anyways - I have 4 days of antibiotics left to take, and after that I don't have to see her unless my lump/nipple/breast/general health gets worse.
So, I'm happy

Wow, they put you on antibiotics? Is that for the piercings, or the lumps??

My wife got hers pierced for V-Day and isn't on antibiotics. She needs to get back to the piercer for a checkup.

Glad to hear everything's OK

I had a swollen lymph gland once and had it removed to just to be safe...everything turned out ok except I'm marked for life with a scar on my back. Oh well, better safe then sorry

Electric Amish -
the lump was due to the nipple piercings (also probably an infection) - which showed up 5 weeks after getting pierced.
Tell your wife to clean it religiously - and remember: no contact with saliva

I hope things don't get worse the next time you get an infection. I've seen some terrible skin infections from earrings, nipple rings, etc., some to the point where they deform the skin and underlying tissues or even cause necrotizing fasciitis! You definitely don't want that. Nope.
