Nipple button on laptop??

I just have a friendly bet with one of my friends, and I wanted to know the exact name for the little nipple button on the middle of a laptop keyboard. Is that known as a "cat's tounge" or what?

lol, I was thinking about saying that but i didn't want the mean mod censoring me 😱.

i would not buy a laptop unless it had a trakpoint. superior in every way to touchpad.

I have both, and the trackpoint is such a pain to use compared the the touchpad. You can left-click, scroll & be much more accurate with a touchpad, it's just much better IMO.

I prefer the TrackPad a lot more.

I personally think the TrackPoint is more accurate and you don't have to mess with disabling the TrackPad when typing documents.

theres no possible way a touchpad is more accurate than a stick. none.

I believe the red eraser head is called "TrackPoint" and was designed and is licensed by IBM. It's gone through various iterations but it's still basically the same. I really do hate it. Then again the trackpad isn't much better.

Bah, my IBM TrackPoint is great. I wish my keyboard had one in the center... I know IBM used to sell some keyboards like that that were expensive as all hell. It's very convenient to have that right in your keyboard. It just takes a few weeks to get comfortable with how to use it, they freak first time users out big time.
