Yeah, in the first episode her husband came in for a procedure for him. They made an offer to buy the practice -- they accepted. The business now belongs to the black chick and her 90+ yr old husband.
 
The 90 year old man was Larry Hagman of the 80's Dallas fame. A.K.A. J. R. Ewing.

He was a stud on Dallas. He was on Nip/Tuck to get ball implants after he lost his to cancer. He wanted big old bag of nuts. He also has deep pockets to buy out the business.
