I have spent the past week mulling through this forum and calling everywhere I can think of to get my hands on just a single Wii. I thought I would let you all in on the information that I was given.

Walmart: Walmart told me that they have 30 Wii's in stock sitting in the back. They said they will not release them until Wednesday, December 6 at 12:01 A.M. (that's 1 minute after midnight on Wednesday morning).
EB/Gamestop: EBGames has told me that they expect a shipment in during this weekend, starting today. They do not know exactly when it will come, but they recieve all of their shipments in between Noon and 5:00 P.M.

If you guys know of any other releases in your area, post here.. I would REALLY like to get a Wii.. I mean, I've wanted it for almost 2 years since I heard of its release >.<

Should have camped out for it like I did. Most of the retail stores should be releasing some new stock sometime over the next week.

I've heard few things, but I don't want to give those lousy ebayers any more info than necessary. If I hear one more person gloat about how they are going to sell their Wii for $400 on Ebay, I'm going to get arrested for assault. If your a serious gamer and really want a wii and don't have one yet (like me), you can find the info out there. Good luck to all the real fans. And to all of you capitalizing on the release, I hope you choke.

I called all the gamestops/EB within 25 miles from me and every single one of em on Sunday told me this week, then I called Tuesday and they said next week. They did say their shipments come between 11-2PM.

I agree, systemjockey. If I hear one more person gloating about "I got my 3rd, hahaha," I think I am going to flip. Why do you really need to take the spot of people who are genuinely interested in playing the system. I have been saving up and saving up just get my freaking Wii, but to no avail.. yet. I have enough to purchase one from on eBay, but I won't propagate those ****ers businesses. Just let me get my Wii (and everyone else who is a serious Nintendo fanboy) and then get yours to sell to desperate parents, ok?!

Anyways, I will be calling EB in about 30 minutes, so I will update you with the information I get. Good luck, everyone.

Why is Walmart holding out on theirs? They are going to sell anyway. They are possibly missing out on a sale to other businesses that aren't holding them back.

I really think Nintendo is holding out on their more-than-abundant supply to make all the crazy parents out there think that they are in limited supply.

I'm so sick of all this bundle nonsense. I read an article today about how the BBB is investigating Toys R Us for trying to force shoppers to buy a bundle at their B&M. If there's a shortage, the shops should be allowed to hold back consoles just to sell overpriced bundles with crappy games.

I'm just going to wait until there are plenty to go around, even if it takes a few months. I'll be desperate to get one once super smash bros comes out

I heard and saw videos that the strings the hold the controller around your arm are breaking off and the controllers are flyin everywhere breakin things in its path....time for a redesign or stronger string

If you play like a normal person and hold onto the damn controller without spazzing out, you should be just fine.

I have played many times without the wrist strap and have yet to hit or drop anything. Although my SO hit me the other day with the remote when she was trying to swing at baseball in Super Monkey Ball. :Q
