Your post was hilarious. Really. You managed to manipulate the price of the Wii to be the same as a PS3. Good job! But it's not really a fair comparison.

PS3 - $600
3 additional controllers - $150
2 games - $140
--------------------
$890!

The Wii is looking a LITTLE better. Then you can subtract the 4 gamecube controllers unless you plan on playing a lot of old 4 player games.

And BTW, the Wii comes with a game. And you don't need a Gamecube controller to play it. So your "bare minimum" price list is not exactly the "bare minimum."

To summarize your pretty ****** post:
- a Wii controller costs $10 more than its competitors

Well I made that post because no one voted on the Ps3 so I was just making a sole comparison on the Nintendo Wii prices for four players versus one player. I mean if I am gonna get a Nintendo Wii I would like to have four players playing it but damn six hundred dollars is quite a bit of money that I could easily put towards a new / current computer. Also I do not have enough room for four people flaleing(?) around my tiny room just to play a game LoL Also I added a price of a game because the Wii Sports in my opinion is pretty damn stupid LoL. I mean to me it is like a demo disc that I am just gonna toss aside. Plus I added a legacy controller below the original price of the bare minimums in case someone wants to play the SNES version of Zelda when Wii comes out because I know I would want too ^_^

But mainly that post was just to show the prices of the Nintendo Wii with four players versus one player and not a comparison with the Ps3 prices or I would of posted those too.

there is no use trying when mad0maxx has already made up his mind.

I post on these boards because no single mind can think of every single possibility and if you participate in a discussion board such as this one you can see things in many different ways! Such as, I originally was thinking everyone and everybody wanted a Ps3 and I was wanting to get one myself then after seeing the results of this thread's polls I see that everyone wants a Nintendo Wii so I had to comtemplate which one would be better for me.

I like to read your responses and if I am asking a question such as the one in this thread I make my decision on the many thoughts and ideas brought up by many others.

In the end I decided not to buy ethier a Wii or Ps3 and stuck with the GameCube I mentioned earlier ^_^ So technically if a good reason why someone should or should not get one system over another is shown may or may not impact another person's judgement. Depending on how it will effect that person or not...

Before originally posting this thread I wanted to get a Ps3 because I like my Ps2 and alot of good games have come out on the Ps2 so that was my deciding factor for a Ps3 but after looking at how much it will cost for the system, peripherals(?) and games that was way too much money. Then, I was looking at the Nintendo Wii because it was way less money but then looking at how much the controllers alone for four players were gonna cost and the amount of space needed for four players to have just to play a Wii game was not working out for me because I do not have that big of a game room and that much money to blow just on controllers. So in the end I just planned on to stick with this GameCube system I got and not get any of the new systems and put all that money towards a new computer...

The controllers are expensive for the Wii... that's kind of disappointing. I don't like spending $25 on a GC controller, let alone $60. I'm sure aftermarket controllers will take a while to come out, if they ever do.

But you don't have to have a lot of room to play it, you can use the controller sitting down in about the same amount of space as you'd normally take up.

Pretty sure the Wii-motes are $40 a piece. Compared to first party or premium wireless controlers for other systems it's about average. Yes there's the nunchuk and classic controler attachments ... but they probably won't be needed for most 4 person multiplayer games. I just wish they came with a rechargable battery for $40.

Slightly off-topic of which system to get ... anyone hear if they will be making Wii's in a color other then white in the near future? I know I saw photos of a black one a while back.
