What would you choose for gaming purposes?

Nintendo Wii, Playstation 3 or New Computer...

Choose now and embrace the future, future, future, future!

Now only choose an answer on what you can realistically afford!

All the computer games I'd want to play (RTS) can be played on my current PC, and PS3 is way to expensive for me, so Wii it is.

I voted all three to screw up your poll, but my real answer is New Computer.

I'm going to have to go with the "what I have" option, since it's on what I can afford... :)

The Nintendo Wii controller is wierd since it is split up and you have a joystick with your left hand to move your character and in your right hand you got the controller type that you swing to make your character in game swing... really wierd

I think I might buy a Wii maybe a couple months after it comes out, but I just started up Company of Heroes and me likes.

Hey on a side note,.... with the Wii can you play the old school Virtual Console games online with other players,.... kinda like XBLA?

My computer will be just fine for at least another year, I've almost had it for a year as it is and it still kicks ass. Athlon 64 X2 4200+ overclocked, GeForce 7800GT 256MB, Creative X-Fi Platinum, and a 19" Samsung LCD I've had for I think 2 or 3 years. I'll probably buy a Wii now and a computer a year or more from now (think GeForce 8 with a K9) so I voted Nintendo Wii.

Voted Wii. New computer would come before PS3 but I don't really need a new computer just yet, perhaps a video card upgrade but that'd be it - will use the money on more Wii games / controllers

Wait for DX10 to be available and not insanely expensive. Embrace the past now, the future later.

X-Box 360 is already out so that is why I did not add that option...

why would that stop you from putting it in the avaliable options.... its going to have a ton of advantages for a while over the ps3. (better supply of consoles so you wont have to drop 1k+ for one, larger installed base for live, xbox live, better games for the next year). Plus its cheaper than the ps3 for the same performance.

I have a 360 now and have no need to get a ps3 in a few months. Maybe in 2 yrs when there is a price drop and some good exclusive games out. But right now the debate should be between 360 and wii.

the wii is a different story though as they should have a good supply and very different gameplay. Im presonally not going to get one of those for atleast a few months because im not sold on the wii being fun to play after a few weeks (it still seems awfully gimmicky) and will depend on the games i think.

And I purposely didnt address pc at all because personally I wouldnt even look at pc gaming again until vista comes out with dx10. That and live anywhere (which has the potential to be huge)

computer for hardcore gaming, as that is unmatched anywhere on console. Wii for unique, fun gaming experience. PC = XBOX 360 >> PS3

new comp for me. the PS3 is nothing but a HTPC with a Blu-Ray drive. The Wii is cool but i don't have a TV and playing it on my 17" LCD wouldn't be much fun. so i would get a new computer.

Wait a while and decide. I'm sure there are plenty of games to keep you entertained until we get more of an idea on which console is the "one-to-get." I'm still playing my PSX and I'll move up to the PS2 soon. :)

I could've sworn the original playstations were $800 when they first game out, and that system did great. I remember my family went to go look at systems, but we ended up spending $400 on a Panasonic 3DO because they promised they machines would be upgradable to play DVD's. Man was that a bad purchase!
