Go!

You have to buy 8 games. Some people are having success returning games individually without returning the whole bundle. YMMV.

EDIT: I can't keep updating the post, so check periodically. No more updates from me. Supposedly, there should be some units available at Bestbuy, Gamestop, and EB Games this Friday. They are getting a few units a day and holding them until this Friday.

165? That is great I thought there would be a shortage, on way am I going to stand anyplace waiting for one of these.

Is there an anticipated shortage of Wiis? I thought Nintendo was putting out plenty...

best buy will have 100-165 in every store.

One of my local Best Buys quoted me an initial shipment of 30, and another gave me 28.

:Q

Sorry, I hate "bundles"... Just let me order the console and let me choose what else I may or may not want. I can only think of 2-3 games for the Wii that I want and only 1 is on that list that I have to choose 8 from.

seriously.. I waited in line to get my preorder and I feel silly now..

every toys r us store will be getting 200 of them.

I think demand will be quite high though. It seems like all gamers will buy this console and then decide out of the 360 and PS3. This is the budget system and I predict it to be a HOT seller this holiday season. Those who wanna buy a new console for their kids won't find any PS3s so they'd much rather spend only $250 anyway. The longevity of the system is still highly questionable though.

The Zelda, Metroid, and Mario games themselves will be worth the purchase if they never produce any other worthwhile game. I've purchased every Nintendo system for pretty much the Nintedo brand games. Which makes me wish Nintendo would do the same thing SEGA did and produce software so I wouldn't have to purchase another system.

I stayed away from the N64 thanks to the controler of pain. Eventually bought myself 2 3rd party controlers that were "some-what comfortable" as I had to put the smack down in Golden Eye on occassion (on a friend's N64).

Looking forward to trying the N64 Mario on Wii.

I don't know if I would believe that every Toys R Us is getting 200 of them but I don't have any way of proving they're not either. However if history is to lbe ooked at most system launches have come short of their projected launch anticipation. I know Gamestop just cut their preorder expectations for the PS3 in half just a week ago. Granted that's the PS3 and the demand for the Wii may be different but even if you believe they'll get 200 I would bet you they don't last more than a day at the most, but who knows.

I'm hoping Gamestop/EB will have a few. I've got store credit to burn. The store managers I talked to after missing the pre-order said that pre-orders were limited to very low numbers so that the stores would also have non-pre-orders to sell on launch day.

Doesn't a Premium 360 cost $399.99? Unless you meant to say you can get one plus games and accessories?

"for 600 bucks you can buy a deluxe 360. But I don't know if Wii is better tho. "

It's not better than the 360 just different. Like I said, you can't get Zelda, Mario, Wario, or Metroid on any other system but you can get most other games on any system. For example, something like Spiderman 3 will be on all systems but will definitely look alot better on the PS3 or 360. The Wii is no comparison to the PS3 or 360 on hardware. So it's really about the games you prefer, which is what it's really all about anyway. If I wasn't a fan of Nintendo games I would go with the 360, which I already own. I don't know if there will be much of a difference in game quality between the 360 and PS3. However you do get Bluray with the PS3 but the 360 has an add-on HD-DVD drive for an extra $200. So the price difference in the 360 and PS3, if you want the HD will be closer to a wash. At least if you'll wait until after the mad rush $4,000 ebay prices during the launch of the PS3.

This will be nowhere near as hard to get as xbox 360's were or PS3's

They cost a lot less to produce and therefore they can make a much larger number reliably (since they are more focused on interface than newer, potentially more volatile components)

There'll probably be somewhat of a manufactured shortage as usual because people will buy them to try and rip ppl off on ebay, but it should be easier to get them.

Umm that's because sega went bankrupt and can't afford to develop consoles any more, if you have a console out why release your exclusive first party games to your competitors?
