Japanese game magazine, Famitsu, recently had a chance to talk to Nintendo and clear a few things up regarding the full list of backwards compatible titles that will be available free of charge on their next system. The list below contains 221 titles that were published in Japan. Not just developed like they previously stated. There will be more titles announced at a later date.

its just every first party game on those systems.

funny cause i can already play all of those games on my xbox for free ... as well as all the 3rd party games from those systems.

they said that its up to third parties what they want to do w/their old games. they were saying some companies will use them as "extras" w/the purchase of the newer games.

like if you buy a new konami game on the revolution, then it might come w/the bonus contra.

Great, old games I wouldn't play if they were free. If this is nintendo's selling point it just serves as a hint at their ever-approaching End Of Life as a tv console.

Hey, I can sell you a new auto. Yes, it's only got 35 horsepower, but it plays cds, tapes, 8 track AND records!

Gamecube games are supposed to be playable on the Revolution. You need the disc though. You can't download them.

Since Nintendo is putting a Flash Memory card in the Revolution instead of a hard drive, that's going to be a lot of flash cards.

Hell, the booths in the mall sell emulators to plug into your tv and play a bunch of stupid old NES games.

And you think that most people have all those games? I owned like 30 on that list. Sure you could download them off the net, but it is also illegal.
