April 23rd - May 6th 2007 (2 Week) Japan Sales
Nintendo DS Lite - 541,094
Nintendo Wii - 203,842
Sony PSP - 69,032
Sony PS2 - 27,399
Sony PS3 - 25,765
XBOX 360 - 6,367
Sales lead for the Wii is around 8:1 now. The DS Lite is on pace to sell a million units in one month; unbelievable. PS3 sales are stagnant.

March 26th - April 22nd 2007 (4 Week) Japan Sales
Nintendo DS - 496,426
Nintendo Wii - 257,620
Sony PSP - 124,889
Sony PS2 - 56,291
Sony PS3 - 54,357
XBOX 360 - 12,059
Keep in mind that the price for the PS3 in Japan is the lowest anywhere in the world (almost half what the Europeans pay). The month began with a 4:1 sales lead by the Wii over the PS3; the latest week, the Wii outsold the PS3 7:1. Microsoft is a non-factor, and the PS2 is still somewhat popular (although the Japanese have largely abandoned it unlike the US).

March 2007 US Sales
Nintendo DS - 508,000
Playstation 2 - 280,000
Nintendo Wii - 259,000
XBOX 360 - 199,000
PSP - 180,000
Nintendo Game Boy Advance - 148,000
Playstation 3 - 130,000
Nintendo Gamecube - 22,000
God Of War II leads to another strong month for PS2 sales. Long term, how is Sony going to dig themselves out of this next-generation rut? Price cuts?
-------------------------------------------------------------------
February 2007 US Sales
Nintendo DS - 485,000
Nintendo Wii - 335,000
Playstation 2 - 295,000
XBOX 360 - 228,000
PSP - 176,000
Playstation 3 - 127,000
Sony bet the farm on the PS3, the supposed future of the company's gaming division. If the numbers for February don't tell them something is very wrong, I'm not sure what will.
Meanwhile, Nintendo leased another printing press from the US Treasury because they can't print money fast enough.

January 2007 US Sales
Nintendo Wii - 436,000
Playstation 2 - 299,000
XBOX 360 - 294,000
Playstation 3 - 244,000
Nintendo DS - 239,000
PSP - 211,000
The far and away winner...Nintendo Wii. It has definitely shown its staying power after the holiday season ended, more so than any other console.
Sony execs should be hitting the panic button now.
EDIT:
The ass kicking is even more apparent in Japan.
