According to the NY Times, they edged out Sony for a few seconds before dropping back down. Still, quite a feat for a dedicated console video game company.

Good for Nintendo! I have a PSP and a DS. I dont know where my PSP is because I havent touched in in about 8 months. I play my DS almost everyday. My ps2 is collecting dust. I have about 200 games for it, many still in shrinkwrap, and its just wasting away. I play the PC, xbox 360 and Wii way more than PS2, which is why I didnt get the PS3.

before its shares erased earlier gains and ended the day lower.
Indeed, but their market cap is roughly $20 billion more than it was during the PS2/GameCube era and is now within spitting distance of Sony's.Originally posted by: Schadenfroh

Sony had a bad decade. Let Stringer turn around Sony, and we might see a Sony of the same caliber of the tech boom.

Why would you buy that many games for a system and not play them? At least I saved some money and skipped the buying games part.
