These regularly went for what, $30? Now that Nintendo's discontinued them and everybody and their mother wants them for Brawl, used controllers are selling on eBay for $50+!!!
Meanwhile, regular Platinum controllers are still only $24.99, and Movie Gallery near my house has third party controller for I think $10 on clearance.

I'm so tempted to just sell both of mine and end up with enough for another game and three more regular controllers; the small delay can get noticeable when you're playing Smash and sometimes it misses buttons...

Yep. Wavebirds have been in high demand for a while. I wish I had followed my first instinct and picked some up when Wal-Mart had them on clearance when they were clearing out all their Gamecube stock.

I don't know why they stopped producing them though. Best traditional non-Wiimote controller Nintendo has. Much better than that the "Wii Classic Controller".

God the Wii Classic Controller is a piece of junk, almost as unergonomic as the original XBOX controller...

I've got two plat Wavebirds and the regular plat controller that came with my Cube. I might just sell them to a friend for $40 a piece

Damn lol I picked one up last september to play my gamecube games. If I would have known demand was going to be like this I would have gotten more. I might sell mine as I got mine used for $10

I wanted to bust out my Gamecube and start using it on my HDTV along with some of the games I missed out on like Pikmin, but after seeing that I couldn't get component cables for less than $60 I pretty much gave up on that idea. Seeing heavily used Wavebird controllers going for so high didn't help either. I only have one corded platinum controller, and a generic purple controller I bought once for about $4 new at Best Buy (it's actually pretty great despite its cheap appearance).

I got one for playing old GC games on my Wii. I really wish I bought more of these when they were availible. Although I do like the Classic controller for older games.

Wiimote turned sideways = the shiz for old games. It's also pretty damn intuitive for Smash too.

I got a gamecube and 2 wavebirds collecting dust right now. I might put the wavebirds on ebay and make a quick buck. Or at least one of them.

I got 2 wavebirds. Been saving them for brawl... was well worth it ;) Now I got 4 controllers for brawl (2 wavebird, 2 mote/chuk) :D

The price is tempting though.. $100 for 2 of em.

I have an extra unopened wavebird that Walmart.com sent refusing to cancel my order. I guess I can finally get rid of it.

Man, I need to buy another Wavebird. Someone PM me with an offer or something!

I tried the MadCatz wireless controller, and the thing is just trash. Not worth the $15.

When I was looking for wireless GC controllers I happened to notice some pelican branded ones stocked in walmart.
