nintendo ds lite question

I know the ds has wifi connection but i was wondering if its possible to play over the net with it. I have a friend down in north carolina whos getting one and i wanted to play mario kart against him but im guessing its not possible

Sigh... yes, if you have a Wi-Fi router, you can connect to the internet with Mario Kart: DS, and play w/ your friend(if he has a wi-fi router as well).

You just need each other's friend code to play each other. Otherwise you play random people.

why doesnt the ds have usernames...seems like it would be a lot better than a string of numbers.

To answer your question, there is a selection in the Mario Kart game that shows you your friend code.

one more question i see theres a usb port or something on the bottom for the power adapter but is there anyway to buy a a controller for this im guessing by the button configuration that a snes controller with one of those same connectors as the power adapter has would be great. Do they even make any controller add on for it because my hands are big and i cant play that long with my hands hurting

Yeah I think you should put hte DS down as it has proven to be a very complicated device.
