Nintendo DS Lite - Better to buy at Costco or Sam's Club?

I'm looking to get a Nintendo DS lite for the kids. I have a membership at both Costco and Sam's Club, and am wondering, which store is it better to buy from?

The kids are 4 1/2 year old twins and from what I have read, Costco basically takes anything back if it gets damaged (these gaming systems aren't on their 90-day list). But Costco only sells with a bundle. Costco does not offer any kind of an extended warranty on it.

Sam's I think is decent on returns. Not sure if as good as Costco. Sam's I see also offers a cheap (~$6) 1-year extended warranty, but is it really needed? I do like that Sam's sells the system without bundled items.

Mainly, I want to be sure I can take it back if it gets beat up (to a point, not thrown off a roof destroyed) without issues. Thanks!

I've read Sam's Club's return policy before and I thought it was actually better than Costco's, but since you mentioned a 1-year extended warranty option I'm not so sure. I don't think any business should take an item back if it's destroyed by abuse, but I'm sure Costco would.

Costco will take it back but unless its a malfunction say like the 360 RROD, you're just abusing the policy. Which will only lead to costco and sam's adding video game systems to list of limited returns.

If you're that concerned with your kids beating up the ds lite then buy a protective shell for it.
