Nintendo and their Dead Pixels.

Damn it, I just went through 2 DSs before I came upon one without dead pixels. Thank god I can return them. I was pretty steamed. But I'd be even more steamed if I wasn't able to return it. I think maybe I'll delay getting LCDs for a while till they get their sh|t together.

I don't want no blemishes on my screen - give me the tried and true.

I bought one...from walmart...it has NO problems what so ever...

I love the DS

can't wait for some PDA programs for it

I wouldn't be angry as long as they took it back I don't see any problem. I have heard that Nintendo is being very lenient when it comes to the LCD screen.

Ive seen 3 without problems, and 1 with a supposed 'stuck' red pixel, but it only seemed to show up in one game. (Probably a software error, not hardware)

Off Topic: I got WarioWare: Touched! today and its great!

There were dead pixel issue with the SPs although apparently nothing like the issues with the PSP (especially) and DS.

i got super mario 64 ds....thats about it

and the DS is a Dual Screen "gameboy" that has better graphics then a Nintendo 64, supports wireless play, and other goodies... oh yeah and a bottom touch screen

I don't think it's going to get much better. LCDs are not really a brand new technology. It's just really, really hard to produce a perfect LCD with no defects at all.

I certainly don't agree that the DS version has better graphics. Textures are pixelated close up and at times it seems like it needs more polys.

I would rather companies adopt a no tolerance policy for dead pixels.

BTW, when my girlfriend bought one, she had a dead pixel and returned it. So 3 DSs have passed through my hands with one dead pixel each. Although sometimes hard to spot, at times, they would get annoying.
