Is there such a thing as a working nintendo 64 emulator? I am wanting to play zelda64 but don't want to go dig out the n64 from the attic.

Yeah, it's called a Wii and it will be out in about a month. :)

it will take n64 carts?

It will play N64 games via the Virtual Console.

Until then, Project 64 is pretty good.

Touchy subject, but I use both PJ64 and 1964, what one emulator can't open, the other surely will. For example, I need to use PJ64 to get Hydro Thunder working properly.

Yeah that too... I totally missed where he said he wanted to play Zelda.

Of course, that disc will set you back $30-40 USED.

spose i could look for a gamecube and the disc(S) but that would probably set me back $60-$70.00 bucks,

OR,

I could dig out my n64 and zelda game,

OR,

I could download the emu and find a rom for it.

Last option sounds best to me since it will be in high rez on my computer monitor.

Any suggestions?

I use a Saitek P2500 wireless controller, seems to have enough buttons for me. I suppose a trigger button would be nice, but I've never really had a problem without it.

Hm... Will PJ64 run on an Intel Extreme Graphics 2? I don't remember if there's software rendering in PJ64, but maybe it would be fine with a Pentium M 1.6ghz?

I've got the wired version of that controller, love it.

Probably will, N64 emulation isn't that hard with HLE, but some effects might look funny. Don't count on any of the fb effects in Majora's Mask working, like, ever.
