In Australia this poster (see link) set off a kind of twitter uproar. It features the Ninja Turtles Jumping off an exploding building. It just so happens the Australia release date is September 11. When people saw it, at first they thought is was a sick joke. I tend to not be too upset, but some people are a lot more sensitive to this sort of thing.

I wonder if they even thought about the release date being 9-11?

It's a movie about turtles that became ninjas because of radiation. People need to get over their outrage.

Outrage not found.

It is a stupid movie and their poster was not created with any intent to 'offend' or sensationalize.

I remember when people were in an uproar over Blizzard releasing their Cataclysm expansion on a day that happened to be the anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attacks. For my part, no fucks were given. What people can't seem to figure out is that every single day of the year is an anniversary of some horrible, tragic, event occurring at some point in history or another. EVERY DAY. Humanity is cruel. There's no point in freaking out over what day of the year some product is released on.

Well, the movie is set in Manhattan where the WTC attack took place, so there is a connection.

The Transformers movie caused a stir a few years ago because it featured a scene of a plane crashing into a building.

Who cares?

What a bunch of homophones. There are so many other reasons to dislike this movie.

I'm more offended by the fact that this franchise was rebooted *again* by the turd-peddler Michael Bay.

I like to be outraged at anything that anyone tells me I should be outraged about. This I don't care.

Get the fuk over it world.

Word.

I saw an image of it on the news and thought WTF, movies blow up buildings all of the freaking time. We can't be expected to keep 9-11 holy for everything every year.
