It is at this point in the review that I am obligated to mention that Tecmo has also added the ability to "jiggle" the female characters by shaking the SIXAXIS controller.

lol. Day one purchase!

Seems to be a pretty average title according to the review summary. I might add this to the rent pile though.

Looks like a reasonable upgrade. I'll have to grab it when it goes a little cheaper. Glad to hear that some of the more frustrating gameplay bits got removed, although getting rid of all the blood and gore seems like a bad decision.

My hopes are VERY low for this game considering how decent the ratings of NG2 were. That was one of the worst games I've played in a long time. Decent graphics, terribly story and gameplay.

From IGN review:
Unfortunately, in addition to the merciless enemies of Ninja Gaiden, players are forced to fight with the camera. The third-person view of Ryu can be adjusted with the right analog stick, and it generally presents players with a decent view of the combat. However, the camera will frequently get stuck on corners or swing to an angle that shows Ryu in all of his glory but completely obscures an incoming attack. The fast pace and difficulty of the game accentuate these camera problems to a level that incites foul language and throwing of controllers.

This has been a complaint for every NG game this gen. Why the hell can't anybody take the hint and fix the damn camera?

I think you mean great graphics with awesome amounts of blood and gore, lacking story that is by no means the reason you're playing a Ninja Gaiden game, and AMAZING gameplay that is some of the most enticing and difficult of any game but never stops being awesome fun.

No, the first Ninja Gaiden was fantastic. I played through it numerous times. Ninja Gaiden 2 has alot of issues...flimsy story, the gameplay was crap (lets hit Y over and over!!!), and bosses that hit you 50 times in a row just because they want to. I bought it, struggled through to beat it, and sold it as quickly as I could. NGB I beat on some of the harder difficulties, getting through norm on NG2 was a chore. The game isn't terribly "hard," it's (yes, I'm going to be that guy) just cheap!

well, just played the demo and it is AWESOME. Action is intense, graphics are clean, camera takes a bit getting used to. Great demo.

Never played any other games in the series. Demo was good though I think I found the Monty Python moments more amusing than anything else.
