NIN - With Teeth released today, thoughts? *poll*

I am a NIN fan. I bought the Dual Disc today.
I really hate people who complan when an artist releases an album because they "changed" or those who complain because it sounds too much like their "old stuff." I don't care if it sounds new, old, if nsync is singing rock, or is Maralyn Manson is doing classical music. IF IT SOUNDS GOOD IT SOUNDS GOOD!

hehe sorry about the rant. SO anyway i thinkt he album is ok. excluding whether they sound different or the same, there are only about 4 songs ont he album that i can listen to on a regular basis without getting annoyed or bored. For the most part it sounds more like art/poetry and though it may be good and the lyrics may hit home with some, it just isn't music that you can sit and listen to for hours.
Still love how he is doing his own thing though, and glad he's living a healthier life style

thoughts?

Not to offend anyone, but it is the gheyist thing I have heard...evar

you must not have enjoyed their prior albums either then.

MIKE

I haven't heard this one, but I must say that The Downward Spiral is a really good cd, in my opinion.

The Fragil has been the best in my opinion. I'm liking this one a lot more after seeing some of the songs performed live by them.

Great album. The more you listen to it the better it gets. Not his best work..but it's just a bit different. I think it includes sounds from all his albums.

no like in shape huge...his arms looked like he has been in a ridiculous workout schedule

Damn. It's good to hear that someone is actually getting in better shape with age instead of getting lazy and fat.

The first time I listened to the CD I wasn't impressed, but after the second time thru I just had to listen to it over and over. It's a great CD although I don't care for the first three tracks, the rest is much better IMO.

I really like the music but everytime he sings I roll my eyes when I realize I am listening to a 40-year-old man go on about teenage angst.

I haven't listened to NIN since the Downward Spirals days. Is this closer to Pretty Hate Machine or Downward Spiral?

can someone PM me when Trent's back on heroine? kthx.

IMO, everything post-DS is uninspired. Just an old man now trying to eat. I'm not saying Trent's washed up (and drug are bad, mmmkay). I'm hearing WT, and it's not horrible, but I'm just not feeling it.

Sorry Trent, old boy. It's time.
