NIMH Battery Recharger question

Anyone have any experience with the 15min Energizer or Duracell rechargers ?

Do they really recharge the battery to full capacity in 15min or so ?
Should I get the 6-8 hour charger instead ?

15min chargers will kill your battery so fast. If you use your charger requently just pick up a nice charger and that way your batteries will have a good life and retain power easier.
I use the Lacrosse BC-900 and it is a very nice charger. (Right now it probably is a bit too pricy).

ive got the duracell, it works good, just cause it charges at a high amperage doesnt mean it will kill it, i use mine for the radio for my RC car and it works like a charm

I use a Maha Battery Charger and Powerex Batteries. Got mine from http://www.thomas-distributing.com/index.htm

Never get anything faster than an hour charger.

Always get something the turns off automatically. Overcharging batteries will kill them.

I had a Maha c-203 or a 204 charger.

that thing made one of my batteries to explode and the battery acid went all over the place.


Im gonna try out the duracell to see how that works out.

The 15 minute chargers use specially constructed cells with built in overtemperature interrupts. They typically function as 1 hour chargers on cells not so equipped. Those are basically a waste.
