NiMH Battery question

I just bought a cordless phone that has the nice feature of using NiMH rechargable batteries. The ones that came with the phone are 1400mAh but I have a lot of NiMH batteries laying around that are 1800mAh to 2000mAh. Does that matter as far as the phones built in charger goes or can I just stick the ones I have in the phone to get it working immediately and charge the ones that came with the phone in my Maha charger?
