nimh battery+charger suggestions

Still looking for a good charget+batteries for my A70, the deal on big lots sounds tempting but I wanted more input on a good charger and batteries. I don't mind shelling out a bit extra for the quality. Basically, which would give me the best bang for the buck. I've read the maha energy battery are top rated, price is a little up there, but if it's the best bang for the buck I'm willing to get them. Any suggestions?

Also, could we use different batteries on the same charger? TIA!

I am using the Mahas and am very happy with them. About the only thing that is a bit of a pain is that the batteries have to be charged in pairs and I have a radio that uses 3 batteries. The charger will charge both AA and AAA and you can do a pair of each side by side. I bought mine from Thomas but don't remember the model off hand.

I have both the Maha and the Panasonic battery (big lot) charger and from personal experience the Maha charger charges faster but beside that I don't see any performance differences in terms of battery life. If you can find the Panasonic at Big lot which I was told it was all sold out at least in Souther CA go for it.

Is the panasonic charger a smart charger? I'm afraid of going through a batch of batteries quicker if I'm overcharging some of the batteries ...

I agree, this is a VERY HOT DEAL and only costs $10 for a NiMH charger AND NiMH batteries.

Panasonic NiMH charger and batteries for $9.99
