Kinda reminds me of the Sony R1, but that used the D80 sensor, right?
Will this rumble with the G9 or the S5?

Will be interesting to see how they stack up irl, Nikon has surely got to get the P&S game right one day!
Agreed. The only 'really' innovative digicam to come out in years is the Casio EX-F1Originally posted by: Deadtrees
What's special about this camera? Isn't it just one of those super zoom cameras that have been flooding the market for manay years?
that's why i never got a new one to replace my fz20.Originally posted by: fuzzybabybunny
I used to be a fan of super zooms, but the whole sensor resolution war is just getting stupid. Well, it hasn't gotten stupid. It's been stupid for a while now.

27 is much wider than 36.Originally posted by: ObiDon
they just play with the bottom number of the ratio to make it look bigger than it is so it will wow joe blow. for example, this one at 18x has 27-486mm compared to my 12x fz20 at 36-432mm. whooptie freakin' doo. not exactly the huge increase one would expect for going to 18x from 12x.
definitely trueOriginally posted by: Fardringle
The difference between 432mm and 486mm on the telephoto end is not very noticeable. However, as ElFenix mentioned, the difference between 27mm and 36mm on the wide angle end is huge.
